California's Tesla Roadsters Showing in Seattle
Late last year Tesla Motors took a road trip to Seattle to scout out sales locations. They found that the Seattle region is full of environmentally conscious people who love technology--and fast cars. So in September of this year you will be able to preview the Tesla Roadster in their new Seattle showroom, located at the foot of Lake Union. "It's a perfect fit for our company, being in that location" said Alexander Pulver, a former Barrier Porsche salesman.
Despite recent money problems, Tesla is now turning out 20 to 25 roadsters per week. A recent cash infusion from Germany's Daimler plus a promised $450 million in federal funding will help Tesla deliver an outstanding 500 orders for the Roadster and more than 1200 orders for their new Model S sedan.
Roadster Test Drive
Tesla's senior manager of member services, Zak Edson discussed last year's four-day sales and marketing blitz saying that 80 people had the pleasure of taking a test drive the the Roadster. There is video of some of the test drives. Lots of excited people!
