I had lunch at the Zeeks Pizza in the Issaquah Highlands a few days ago. They have a large selection of vegetarian pizzas including the Veggie Thai with spicy ratings from 1 to 5 stars. I had the 4 star which was plenty hot and a Mirror Pond beer to cool things down (ok, a few Mirror Pond beers).
Although they do have outside seating, it was a bit to chilly for my San Francisco sensibilities, so I stayed indoors. Since they have free WiFi (at least at the Issaquah location) I was able to surf while I waited for the pizza to arrive. At the same time, I was able to write this article.
Pizza by the slice - vegetarian choice each day including my choice the Veggie Thai. They also offer Tree Hugger (sun-dried tomatoes), Howser (spinach), Frog Belly Green (basil pesto) and Hurricane (mushroom).
My server/bartender Jay helped me through some of the Zeeks details, including:
- During the extended lunch hour, Zeeks offers pizza by the slice with a vegetarian choice every day, Mon-Sun.
- For the pure at heart, you can simply order a plain pizza with or without sauce and provide your own toppings (vegan cheese and eggplant come to mind).
Price was reasonable for food and beer, and the quality is definitely above average. So next time you want some "healthy" fast food in Issaquah, give Zeeks a try.
